| China donates a hospital in Sudan’s Blue Nile State |

A signing ceremony of on construction of a hospital for Sudan held on April 14, 2008 in the Sudanese Federal Ministry of Health in Khartoum, by Blue Nile state minister of health and China Urban Construction Design and Research Institute. Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Mr. Li Chengwen, Economic and Commercial Counsellor Mr. Hao Hongshe and Undersecretary of the Sudanese Federal Ministry of Health Kamal Abdu al-Gadir attended the signing ceremony.
The hospital, which is a donation from Chinese government, named "the Hospital of the Chinese Sudanese Friendship" located in the Blue Nile State in south-eastern Sudan. It is a large-scale hospital with nearly 100 beds will occupy an area of 20,000 square meters. It would start at the beginning of next year and would last for about one year. The Sudanese official praised that "This is a precious present from China to the local people in the Blue Nile State, and we express our extreme thanks and appreciation for the Chinese government’s donation."
